The Hepplewhite Piano Trio, all students of the Birmingham Conservatoire were the first ever chamber group to win a place in the finals of the Symphony Hall Prize, Birmingham. Winners of the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Competition, they were also awarded the Derek Young Memorial Award from the Birmingham Chamber Music Society. They have been invited to perform at the Purcell Room, London alongside the Schubert Ensemble and the Lawson Piano Trio. Formed recently in 2009, this young up and coming trio is rapidly building a devoted following.
