For this concert, as an introductory offer
to open the 2011-2012 Local & Live season, concert-goers can
bring a friend who has not yet been to one of the Local &

GRASSROOTS GALA
featuring the Kormah Trio
Local & Live has received
a Grassroots grant from The Birmingham Community Foundation
to support a very special event. On Friday 18th November,
the Kormah Trio will provide a composition workshop at King
Edward VI College, Stourbridge, where students from the college
and other local schools will take part. On Saturday 19th November,
the Kormah Trio will give a concert including students' compositions
developed during the workshop, as well as works by Madeleine
Dring, Demersseman & Berthélemy, and Telemann. (more...)

Local & Live are delighted to welcome back
Holborne
Brass. The Holborne Brass Quintet will perform
works by Bach and Previn and many more. The larger Holborne
Brass Ensemble will then play works that will include Arnold's
music from Independence Day and Walton's Spitfire

Strings was formed in 1999 by Megan Webb and the
late Angela Richey. As well as Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto
in A minor, featuring well-loved local pianist Janine
Smith, they will perform works by Avison, Grieg,
