'A Bouquet of Brass'

The Holborne Brass Ensemble
The most active and prominent Midlands-based brass ensemble returns to Local and Live as an expanded ten-piece group. The ensemble's programme is both entertaining and varied and will include arrangements of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Warlock's Capriol Suite and a selection of lighter items.

Stream of Sound, a choir aged between twelve and twenty-six and based at the Elmfield School, Stourbridge, bring a refreshingly original style to this concert with the range of part-songs from around the world-sung in many languages, and all from memory! They will share the stage with brilliant concert-organist Paul Carr, now well0established with his recitals at Holy Trinity Church, Wordsley and many concerts in Britain and abroad.

'Summer Serenade'

This acclaimed quintet of graduates from the Birmingham Conservatoire, which celebrates it's tenth anniversary this year, has performed at London's South Bank and in festivals across the country. In addition to their musical skills the members are noted for their informative and entertaining style of presentation. Their talents will be displayed tonight in works by Mozart, Elgar, Gershwin, Verdi and 'Goundforce' composer Jim Parker.
