In January 2009 the duos first disc was released titled 'Hearing

Beethoven Symphonies for piano duet and a disc of music featured
in films. The twins have also been working closely with composer
Marco Di Boni and will be premiering a piece written for their
duo in Autumn 2009. Concerto performances of the Malcolm Arnold
Duet Concerto and Poulenc's famous Double Concerto are also
planned.
Including duet performance, John and Kevin have many other
interests ranging from solo performance, accompaniment, composing,
conducting, adjudicating and teaching.
In recent years John has been invited to lecture at The Oldham
College and the Cheadle Hulme Music Academy and has more recently
followed in his brothers footsteps when he was appointed Pianist
in Residence at Old Swinford Hospital School in September
of this year. As a composer he has had a number of works performed
including a piece for chamber choir and a small concertante
for piano and chamber orchestra. During his time at the Royal
Northern College of Music John performed in the Mozart Concerto
Festival and the Counterpoint festival, which was broadcast
by BBC Radio 4.
As a soloist Kevin has performed in Europe and following
a successful concert tour in Japan was subsequently invited
to return to give a series of concerts in December 2007. As
a teacher Kevin has undertaken positions at Old Swinford Hospital
School and more recently Handsworth Grammar School.
The brothers' concerto repertoire ranges from Baroque Concerto
Grosso by Correlli, Telemann and Bach, the concertos' of Mozart,
Grieg, Arnold, Poulenc as well as contemporary works by Sculthorpe
and Downes.
The Robson Piano Duo regularly works in aid of charitable
organisations, having raised many thousands of pounds. Fundraising
projects over the last five years have included work for Breast
Cancer Care, Make a Wish Foundation, George House Trust (Manchester),
Tsunami Appeal, Macmillan Nurses, St Mary's and St Catherine's
hospice and The Polio Foundation.
