Local & Live are lucky enough to be able to enjoy such a splendid
venue as St James's Church, Wollaston. The church, built in 1860,
is a typical 'Low Anglican' church of its date, with a spacious
nave and a wide chancel arch. These features give a good acoustic
and an uninterrupted forward view to the altar, and together with
a grand piano and a pipe organ ensure excellent conditions for concerts.
The church is warm in winter and has disabled facilities and a car
park. Most importantly, the Church Council give enthusiastic support
and make St James's a welcoming place for performers and audience
alike.
